2. Scope and application

These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of the legisbox.uk website and the informational services offered on it. They apply to all persons accessing the website.

The website is exclusively intended for legal professionals and operators in the legal sector. It is not intended for consumers within the meaning of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or for individuals under the age of 18.

3. The LegisBox service

LegisBox is an artificial intelligence software product provided by EYA Srl to law firms under a separate service agreement. This website is purely informational and promotional in nature.

The contractual terms of the LegisBox service — including the commitment period (36 months), SLA, pricing, termination conditions and intellectual property rights — are governed by the individual service agreement signed with EYA Srl.

4. Pricing

Prices indicated on the website are expressed in pounds sterling exclusive of VAT. The applicable VAT will be specified in the service agreement in accordance with the client's situation and applicable tax rules.

EYA Srl reserves the right to amend its prices. Any amendment will be communicated to the client with notice in accordance with the service agreement in force.

5. Commitment and termination

The standard contractual commitment is 36 months. Early termination conditions are detailed in the individual service agreement. There are no penalties for upgrading to a higher plan during the term.

6. Intellectual property

The LegisBox software, its source code, algorithms, databases and documentation are the exclusive property of EYA Srl. The client is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software, limited to the duration of the contract.

Client data and documents remain the exclusive property of the law firm at all times. No data is retained by EYA Srl beyond what is necessary to provide technical support under the service agreement.

7. Limitation of liability

Important disclaimer: outputs generated by LegisBox are tools to assist professional legal work and do not constitute legal advice. They do not replace the legal professional's own judgment or discharge professional responsibilities. Professional liability remains entirely with the firm and its regulated solicitors or barristers. Every output from LegisBox must be reviewed, verified and approved by a qualified legal professional before being relied upon, filed, sent to a client, or used in any professional capacity.

EYA Srl's liability is limited to direct damages resulting from a proven breach of its contractual obligations, within the limits set out in the service agreement. EYA Srl shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or special damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Data protection

The processing of personal data is governed by LegisBox's Privacy Policy, which complies with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. As a self-hosted solution, client case files and matter data never leave the law firm's network.

9. Regulatory disclaimer

EYA Srl is not a regulated legal services provider. LegisBox is a software tool designed to assist regulated legal professionals. Use of LegisBox does not affect or discharge any professional obligations of solicitors or barristers under the SRA Code of Conduct, BSB Handbook, or any other applicable regulatory framework. Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of AI tools complies with all applicable professional rules.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless otherwise agreed in the individual service agreement.

11. Amendments

EYA Srl reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Amendments take effect upon publication on the website. Continued use of the website following publication constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
